    The Harnessing Opportunity through Parenting and Education (HOPE) program focuses on improving early childhood development in rural China. It combines advocacy, training, and infrastructure development, supported by close monitoring through early childhood education and development (ECED) Centers.

    HOPE targets children aged 0-3 living in rural and urban poor communities. This age group is a critical period for the development of cognitive, language, emotional, and social skills. By supporting both young children and their caregivers, Tanoto Foundation is making a strategic investment in early childhood development in China, ensuring children receive the support they need during this key developmental window.

    About SIGAP

    Strengthening Indonesia’s Early Generation by Accelerating Potential (SIGAP) is a Tanoto Foundation initiative focused on preparing Indonesia’s future generations by ensuring that all children are developmentally on track and ready for school.

    By collaborating with parents, teachers, local governments, and local NGOs on parenting as well as early stimulation and learning, SIGAP works to ensure that children in Indonesia can reach their full potential.

    SIGAP operates through two key programs:

    Rumah Anak SIGAP

    Rumah Anak SIGAP

    A community-based initiative that is aimed to promote a sustainable and affordable early stimulation or parenting services for 0-3 yo children, by optimizing local modalities.

    The program offers group-play activities, one-on-one individual stimulation, thematic parenting classes to support the development of motor, cognitive, language, and socio-emotional skills in young children.

    Sekolah Anak SIGAP

    Sekolah Anak SIGAP

    This initiative focuses on strengthening kindergarten education by improving access to quality early learning. It builds the capacity of teachers and principals, promotes inclusive education, creates safe and nurturing learning environments, and encourages active involvement from parents and the community.

    To achieve this, we prioritize activities that build awareness and strengthen the capabilities of governments, frontline workers, and local communities.     “Rubik Unik Corona” is a storybook created in collaboration with the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection and Bunda Women’s and Children’s Hospital Jakarta, to help children understand and practise health protocols to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection.
