Founded in 2018, Strengthening Indonesia’s Early Generation by Accelerating Potential (SIGAP) is a Tanoto Foundation initiative focused on preparing Indonesia’s future generations by ensuring that all children are developmentally on track and school ready.

HOPE
The Harnessing Opportunity through Parenting and Education (HOPE) program focuses on improving early childhood development in rural China.

PINTAR
The Promoting Improvement to Innovate, Teach, and Reach (PINTAR) program aims to improve the quality of basic education in Indonesia, supporting the country’s goal of becoming one of the top five most improved countries for International Student Assessment (PISA) student performance rankings by 2030.

TELADAN
Teaching Leadership, Advancing the Nation known as TELADAN – which means “role model” in Indonesian – is a leadership development program designed to equip and empower the next generation of Indonesian leaders.

BEACON
Be Empowered and Active to Contribute to the Nation (BEACON), is a scholarship and leadership development program designed to prepare the next generation of leaders to make meaningful contributions to their communities and beyond in Singapore.

Tanoto Foundation Fellowship Program
The Tanoto Foundation Fellowship Program is an exclusive, year-long opportunity for young leaders to immerse themselves in Indonesia’s education ecosystem and contribute to meaningful change.

Government Capacity Building
In Government Capacity Building (GCB) program, Tanoto Foundation works in partnership with key ministries and agencies, including the National Institute of Public Administration (LAN), to improve the effectiveness of policymaking, enhancing the competencies of government leaders, and reinforcing institutional capacity. Through these efforts, GCB aims to advance human capital development as a foundation for Indonesia’s long-term growth.

Tanoto Foundation Professorships
Tanoto Foundation partners with SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre to establish Professorships and Research Initiatives in the areas of Diabetes, Medical Oncology and Cardiovascular Medicine.

Research Initiatives
Research Initiatives Since 2009, Tanoto Foundation has contributed catalytic funding to support scalable healthcare and medical research initiatives. This is achieved by leveraging Singapore’s well-established medical research ecosystem and integrated academic healthcare landscape to drive a number of key initiatives.

Stunting
Tanoto Foundation supports Indonesia’s efforts to reduce stunting through the SIGAP program, aligning with the government’s ambitious targets. At the national level, we assist in implementing key stunting prevention initiatives, while at the sub-national level, we work with provincial and district governments to drive program convergence and behavior change communication.
