Registration for the TELADAN Scholarship Program by Tanoto Foundation is Now Open

Tanoto Foundation has officially opened the registration for its TELADAN leadership scholarship program (Transformative Education for the Development of Future Leaders) for the 2026 cohort.
This scholarship is awarded to first-semester undergraduate students at ten partner universities who have demonstrated achievements in various fields, organizational experience, and strong leadership potential.
The ten partner universities are:
● University of Indonesia (UI)
● Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB)
● Gadjah Mada University (UGM)
● Brawijaya University (UB)
● Diponegoro University (Undip)
● IPB University (Bogor Agricultural University)
● University of Riau (Unri)
● University of North Sumatra (USU)
● Hasanuddin University (Unhas)
● Mulawarman University (Unmul)
TELADAN is one of Tanoto Foundation’s strategic initiatives to nurture Indonesia’s youth into resilient, high-integrity leaders who contribute positively to their communities.
Through the TELADAN program, Tanoto Foundation is committed to developing students’ soft skills, leadership capacity, and global outlook so they can become agents of change across various sectors.
Students selected for the TELADAN program will receive full tuition coverage and a monthly living allowance. What sets this scholarship apart is the structured leadership development training provided for 3.5 years, from the second to the eighth semester.
TELADAN scholars (as the recipients are called) will also receive support to participate in activities aimed at enhancing leadership and soft skills, including:
● Additional financial support to join competitions, conferences, or certification programs both domestically and internationally
● Opportunities to take part in short-term learning programs at home and abroad, such as summer courses, exchange programs, volunteering, and more
● Internship opportunities within Tanoto Foundation’s partner industry network
● Opportunities to receive research funding and conduct collaborative studies
Scholars will also become part of the Tanoto Scholars Association on their respective campuses—a community built to foster mutual growth and create a positive social impact through the Pay It Forward spirit.
Upon graduation, scholars will join a vast alumni network of Tanoto Foundation scholarship recipients located across Indonesia and around the world.
Additionally, in a new development this year, the TELADAN Program is also open to students holding the Kartu Indonesia Pintar-Kuliah (KIP-K) who are enrolled in the first semester at one of the ten TELADAN partner universities.
Save the date: Registration for the TELADAN 2026 program is open from July 1 to September 7, 2025.
Eligibility Requirements for the TELADAN Scholarship:
● Indonesian citizen (WNI).
● Enrolled as a regular (S1) first-semester student at one of the ten TELADAN partner universities.
● Committed to participating in the Leadership Development Program throughout TELADAN (Semester 2 – Semester 8).
● Demonstrates strong leadership potential and commitment to contributing to society and national development.
● Proficient in Indonesian; proficiency in English or other international languages is an advantage.
● Has strong academic performance (minimum Grade 12 report card average of 8 out of 10) and non-academic achievements such as involvement in student organizations, social communities, or related activities.
● Not currently receiving any other scholarships or financial aid (except for KIP-K), and willing to decline any other financial support or similar leadership programs if selected for TELADAN.
● Must register online through the Tanoto Foundation website.
