Aimed at developing the next generation of leaders who are future-ready, we partner with National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Singapore Management University (SMU) to provide our scholars with a holistic leadership development programme. Beyond financial assistance to deserving undergraduate students, the scholarships also equip the scholars with structured leadership skills training, community service and networking experience.
We believe in the importance of equipping our future leaders with knowledge and skills to lead effectively and responsibly, so that they are able to make a positive impact in the communities in which they live and work. To develop these critical leadership competencies, we provide Tanoto Scholars with a structured leadership development journey through a series of workshops throughout the course of their undergraduate studies.
Through this annual ground-up community service project, Tanoto Scholars work together to volunteer and contribute towards enhancing the quality of health and education of the under-privileged communities in Singapore and beyond. Through this experience, Tanoto Scholars are also able to hone their leadership skills, gain regional exposure and network, which are all crucial to prepare them for their future careers.
Tanoto Scholars Annual Networking (TSAN) is an annual event aimed at forging stronger bonds among Tanoto Scholars and alumni in Singapore. At the event, Tanoto Scholars come together to meet the Tanoto family, welcome new scholarship recipients and network with one another. In addition, the scholars also have the opportunity to further engage and learn from our distinguished speakers on various topics such as leadership and the importance of lifelong learning.
